Smoke Release Ceilings

Mason Smoke Release Ceilings offer a unique combination of fire safety, acoustic performance and attractive appearance. Suspended metal panels are positioned to permit the free flow of smoke and noxious gases to exhaust fans above the ceiling, in the event of fire. The panels are available in either perforated or non perforated galvanized metal up to 1mm thick. The Helmholtz effect created by perforated panels reduces reverberation in the area and reverberation times (RT60) can be further reduced if Mason absorptive materials are installed behind the perforated panels. Non perforated panels provide acoustical reflective surfaces to control the path of travel of sound. Each panel allows left hand or right hand drop down for maintenance access and is fitted with a pin and safety chain to secure the panel during drop down mode. The panels are available in various finishes, perforation patterns and sizes to permit designers maximum choice in selecting the ceiling which complements their interior design.
